Impactweerstand wordt op verschillende manieren beoordeeld bij mechanical testing. Op afgewerkte objecten wordt vaak de valproef toegepast. Indien de impact eigenschappen van de grondstoffen zelf bepaald dienen te worden, dan wordt de kerfslagproef gebruikt.
De hardheid van rubbers wordt via de Shore A, Shore D of IRHD schaal bepaald. Voor metalen gebruiken we Rockwell, Micro/macro vickers, Brinell en Knoop hardheidstesters. Primordiaal voor herhaalbare metingen is de staalvoorbereiding.

De Charpy Impact proef is een gestandaardiseerde impactproef (ASTM E23, BS EN ISO 148-3, BS EN ISO 148-2) waarbij de hoeveelheid geabsorbeerde energie door een metaal geregistreerd wordt tijdens breuk via de pendulum methode.
Ongeveer 1000 Impact Testers worden jaarlijks onafhankelijk geverifieerd via het NIST Verification Program. Meer dan de helft van de testers werden door Tinius Olsen gefabriceerd.

With more than 25 years of experience in the Belgian testing market, Jan is what we call a “senior expert”.
Jan has the ability to assist the user in the most exotic applications and he thinks further than just the machine movements. All sold installations are based on his pragmatic interpretation of the test requirements and the situation in each different lab.
When time is left, Jan likes to play music with his family and pulls the strings and impacts the drums.
Ghislain is the good traditional technician who can repair a washing machine with a wire and a needle.
His extensive experience in the most demanding analytical equipment environment and his drive to get an instrument within the best specification, gives you the trustable service partner for your equipment.
He likes to be behind the scenes. Exactly what he does during weekends: building the stage and assure the technical side of the local theater productions.
Cedric is working from our office in Lyon (France) and assures the sales & application support for our French customers.

Ko is our sales & application specialist for the Dutch market and is known as being one of the most pragmatic sales guys. He will never get nervous and will always go to the utmost to get satisfied results with his customers.
Beside his mechanical testing skills, Ko is also interested in thermal analysis and rheology.
During his free time he is executing impact tests on his running shoes.
